Collars

G-Collars, the frangible collars manufactured by Growermetal, are fasteners used in the aerospace industry to join structural components with precision and reliability while minimizing the weight of the bolted joint. They work together with threaded pins in a fastening system designed to withstand both shear and tensile loads in aerostructure joints. G-Collars offer several advantages: They are self-locking: the deformation of the thread (crimping) ensures an anti-loosening effect.
